What happens when you combine a phoenix, a bunch of Aggies, and some good ‘ol Texas barbecue?? Why you get a killer wedding of course! Mallory and Travis got married at First Baptist Church in Schulenburg before whoopin’ their way to The Phoenix in Weimar, TX. Where on earth are these places?! That’s what crossed my mind the first time going out there… but before the night was over, Mallory and Travis sure did put Weimar on the map!

Here’s a snap from our first day in New York for Yuri and Kee’s wedding on Saturday. Yes, they’re having a Halloween wedding, and yes, everyone is dressing up! Yuri’s going to put on a beautiful white dress and Kee is planning on wedding suiting up! For this special day, we have decided to dress up as rockstar wedding photographers. We’ll be donning black on black on black, ray ban sunglasses, and secret service like communications. You can find us in open shade, shooting wide open.
Just kidding! We’re actually not dressing up like rockstar wedding photographers, just normal ones. :)
Here’s a fun image from their engagement session we photographed on Thursday. They took us to this park with a gorgeous view of the New York skyline.

It was so incredible that we decided to come back at night to take a few more for our blog readers.

Don’t you wish you had our job? ;-)
Next week, after we get back, we’ll publish a post titled, “Why renting a car in NYC is quite possibly the worst idea ever.” Stay tuned for our ridiculous NJ-NY journey with our rental car.
Since we have so many weddings to share with you guys in the upcoming weeks, we decided to give you guys a change of pace and show you some images from our recent trip to Chicago to photograph YoungAh and John’s wedding (they even took us out on a boat for a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline on Lake Michigan)! We caught up with old friends, stuffed our faces, did some sightseeing, oh and did I mention stuffing our faces?

Sara and Josh are like PB and J. Awesome together.

These two lovebirds were married in Plano, TX at the all-in-one Reflections on Spring Creek. They used books as their centerpieces and a book for Josh’s cake because of their literary buffness. These two are S.M.R.T smart.

There’s a t-shirt on threadless.com that reads, “I listen to bands that don’t even exist yet.” Sara and Josh should have a t-shirt that reads, “I read books that aren’t even published yet.”

Yeehaw!
First of all, we apologize for the lack in posting recently! It’s a little ironic. The busier we got, the more work we want to show….but we realized that we had less time to show it. To give you an idea, in 15 weeks (staring September 1st), we will have shot 17 weddings and 12 portrait sessions in 8 different cities. Some of the exotic places we’re going (or have gone) are New York (Halloween!), Chicago, Wichita Falls, San Juan, and Las Vegas! During this time, we can’t help but feel blessed and fortunate for all our amazing clients and friends. We love what we do, we make a decent living, and we work with incredible people every week. How much more perfect can this be? Ok, time to put away the sob tissues and show some images!
Here are a few from recent weddings we’ve shot! Their blog entries will be coming soooooon!
