Prardhana and Patrick came to Dallas for their engagement session, wanting to combine her culture with the architectural interestingness found in Dallas. As with most of my sessions, we wandered around downtown, had some fun and found some gems along the way.
Meet Mike and Noelle at the Antelope Canyons in Page, Arizona. One of the coolest engagement sessions I’ve gotten to photograph. When discussing their destination engagement session, Mike and Noelle asked me if there was any place I wanted to shoot. Only requirements: badass.
The second half of the session was taken along the highway from Arizona to Vegas. Exact location: side of the road, look for the tall trees.
Sarah and Brock were married on a warm, sunny day at Winfrey Point in Dallas. Winfrey Point overlooks White Rock Lake and provides a gorgeous and rustic backdrop far enough away from the city but close enough to still be in Dallas. Sarah chose a beautiful, lace Monique Lhuillier dress that matched perfectly with her bridesmaids’ dresses and the classically rustic surroundings. Details and planning were handled by Mary Frances’ elite team at DFW Events, floral and decor by the talented Brianne Denton of Blue Lotus, and all-night entertainment provided by Dallas Unlimited‘s live band.
Sarah and Brock have had the largest wedding party I’ve shot since I started in 2007 (23 gorgeous people total!) and it was so much fun. The group was friendly, joked a lot, and a true pleasure to get along with.
There are some serious intimate moments throughout Sarah and Brock’s wedding – something that makes me even more grateful for the families and couples who have trusted me with their most intimate moments. Enjoy!
Thanks to Vanja Djuric for shooting this one with me!
Indian weddings are something beautiful. The people, colors, and dancing – there’s beauty in the tradition and charm of an Indian wedding celebration that anyone can appreciate. Sapna and Sanjeev’s wedding in Dallas’ elite venues (W Hotel, Crescent Court) combined the traditional elements of an Indian wedding with the modern, fashionable personality that surrounds the two, creating a one of a kind wedding event. (You might remember Sapna and Sanjeev from their sultry engagement session here.) Prashe supplied the amazing decor in addition to the custom wedding fashion worn by the bride, groom and wedding party.
We were with the wedding the entire weekend – from the mehndi (henna ceremony for non-Indians!), sangeet (big dance party!), baraat (horse down the street), to the W hotel wedding ceremony and Crescent Court reception. To say this wedding was a party is a huge understatement – I’ve never seen a group of people so passionately dance for 3 days straight.
Sapna and Sanjeev’s love was still glaringly apparent through the midst of all the dancing, however. For example, they delayed their baraat to do a first look with me – recognizing that the moment of seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day was intimately special and should be put above all.
Special thanks to Valerie Valdez for holding lights, setting up flashes, and shooting the celebration with me!
I’m sitting in JFK airport right now waiting for my connecting flight to Budapest, Hungary. Two couples have graciously decided to bring me and Kim Le out to Europe to photograph their engagement sessions in Paris, and there are no words for how excited we are to be back in Europe! This time, we’re taking a mini vacation to Budapest and London as well, so if anyone has any tips on where to eat or things to do in either of those cities, please let us know!
So, with that, I leave you an image I took from our last trip to Paris. Can anyone guess where this was taken?
And, here are a couple photos from Soo and Susan’s wedding at Marie Gabrielle this past weekend! More to come soon!
