And meet their friends, Marisa + Caparros.

Fete Des Fleur’s fantastic florals for fabulous (f)grooms.

One word to describe Arturo? Dapper.

When they were engaged, they wrote each other letters to be opened on their wedding day. Very awesome.

Guess what time it is! IT’S FIRST LOOK TIME! (JS reference?)

The beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Dallas matched Cynthia and Arturo’s wedding modern classic theme almost perfectly.

This is a first for me: an exit to silver bells being rung by all their friends and family! Sweet.

Tower Club in downtown completed the modern side of their vision with pin spotting, gorgeous center pieces, and the musical talents of DJ Andy Austin.

The Tower Club has an amazing view of downtown Dallas’ skyline as well as some great locations indoors for some bride and groom portraits.

Yes, Arturo is jumping to spin Cynthia. =)

Arturo works in the diamond business AKA bling bling, so needless to say, both their rings were custom AND beyond awesome.

Special thanks to Jeremy Gilliam for 2nd shooting and hanging out with me!
P.S. 2011 pricing has been released and dates for next year are filling up! Contact me with the link below or give me a call. I’d love to hear from you and about your wedding!
Check out some photos from her bridal session we took before her wedding at the luxurious Palomar hotel.

Cynthia’s chapel length veil was perfect for the windy corridor by the Palomar pool. =)

Keep an eye out for her wedding post to follow soon!

To understand these next few shots, you need to understand the setup. First, we dock in between 2 other junk boats on this tiny pier, then Kim Le and I hop onto another boat (b/c ours is too far from the pier) to get on to the pier. With 2 cameras, 4 lenses, and a flash, we hop into a 2-man kayak right before they shut everything down (because it’s sunset). We row out about 150 yards to our junk boat (we asked them to move out away from the pier and into the scenic part of the bay.) So, here I am rowing away in a 2 seater kayak while Kim Le lightly brushes the water with her paddles….

What makes matters worse is when we get out there and are about 50 yards from the boat, my flash isn’t flashing. So we spend the next 15 minutes troubleshooting (aka me yelling at Vu with instructions) until finally I row back to the boat and fix the last possible problem that could have occurred (I don’t even want to talk about it). Below is Vu with a non-triggering flash.

Despite all that trouble, I’d say it was worth it?

After Ha Long Bay, we spent some time back in Hanoi.

Some of you may know I recently had the opportunity to spend a few days in Hanoi Vietnam to work an event. I was lucky to bring with me the fabulous Kim Le and her two roommates, Vu and Linda, who were recently engaged. Our work vacation turned into a non-stop search for street food, dry weather, and cafe sua da. We also managed to get our hands on authentic Gucci and Cartier sunglasses as well as genuine Samsonite luggage. (cough)
Above, a mini engagement session Kim Le and I shot for Vu and Linda while in Vietnam.
Ann and Daniel were married at the magical and luxurious Lakeway Resort and Spa in Lakeway Texas on a beautiful late summer afternoon. A traditional tea ceremony was followed by a gorgeous backlit ceremony and an extravagantly DIY reception at Lakeway. You should see the center pieces they made BY HAND for the last year. I also had the pleasure of my friends Jean and Austin Tsai second and third shoot for me. We also went on an Austin food tour, but I’ll save that for another blog post!
So, first off: the glowing couple immediately after jumping into the pool. Just another wedding for Table4…

Keep Austin Gorgeous had its salon full with Ann’s bridal party.

Check out this fun ring shot by Jean!

Daniel = dapper.

Ann’s gorgeous White One gown.

A glimpse at the gifts they gave each other. I liked how they were both gifts for each other’s wrists. I know – I’m cheesy.

Bouquets by Bouquets of Austin.

Ann and Daniel’s First Look was….magical, to say the least.

Loving the sweet moments captured by Jean and Austin!

Ann and Daniel hired D&H Lighting and Rachel Stepanov from Buon Affare Events to transform the Lakeway center.

The most awesome wedding cake ever by Simon Lee Bakery and centerpieces by A&D Florals (just kidding, they were made by Ann and Daniel themselves!).

Sweet cake cutting shot by Austin!

I didn’t know this beforehand, but Daniel should be on America’s Best Dance Crew.

Joel from Greenbelt DJ kept the party going all.night.long.

A close up because it is awesome.

Thanks for a wonderful day Ann and Daniel! You guys have a beautiful relationship and I’m privileged to be part of your lives and witness the beginning of a lifetime of happiness. Thanks for risking your lives for a picture…or two…or three. =)
P.S. If you don’t remember their engagement session we shot in Dallas, here’s the blog post.
P.P.S. More images will be uploaded to my online cart later this week so you can see the rest of the images!
