The Tran party continues! Nguyen is brother to Vivien (whose wedding we shot in May,) so we knew just how much fun and crazy his wedding would be waaay before this weekend. Thi and Nguyen definitely hosted our largest wedding in 2008. They had the entire Maxim’s Chinese Restaurant reserved and filled to the brim. Nguyen is a film producer out in California and Thi is a professional Asian tv drama observer. We started the day off with a traditional tea ceremony at Thi’s house (oh how we love the food at tea ceremonies!), then it was off to the park for some bridal party extravaganza. The best man even got to chasing around some ducks. We ended the night at Maxim’s where there were 40+ 10-top tables celebrating with the newlywed couple. Yes, that is over 400 guests (and 40+ table toasts)! In between the Karaoke craziness, Nguyen surprised all of us by serenading Thi with his majestic voice and graceful handling of the ivory. It was a fun, relaxed night of eating, singing, and dancing. Thanks for having us Thi and Nguyen! You rock.
